Disneyland's Fantasyland Theatre Gets a 'Bluey' Makeover! Fake Trees & Cloudy Skies Revealed! (2026)

Bold statement: Disneyland’s Fantasyland Theatre is turning blue—literally—with a fully staged Bluey production that brings a cartoon forest to life. And this is where the magic—and the debate—really begins.

The Fantasyland Theatre at Disneyland is currently outfitted with artificial trees and a painted sky backdrop in anticipation of a new Bluey stage show. The venue, which closed in January, is scheduled to reopen with the Bluey production in late March.

The construction update reveals the latest visuals: themed blue walls now surround the theater, and a pair of cartoonish artificial trees rise above green scrim. The leafy canopies peek out from behind this scrim while barriers keep guests a safe distance from the new elements.

Near the stage, a scrim has been installed depicting a blue sky with white, fluffy clouds. These sky and tree design choices align with concept art that positions Bluey’s Best Day Ever! within a cartoon forest setting.

From March 22, 2026 onward, and continuing throughout the year, Bluey’s Best Day Ever! will transform the Fantasyland Theatre into Bluey’s school grounds, inviting guests to share in Bluey’s best day ever. Throughout the day, Bluey and her sister Bingo will appear live on stage alongside a troupe of comedic actors and musicians. Visitors will be able to explore Bluey’s school atmosphere—with the Grannies, Chattermax, Unicorse, and themed treats at Troubadour Tavern—creating a complete, immersive experience.
